The Process
I was hired to create a new, custom website for Temple Dor Dorim that served their community by being a resource for special events, education, and religious holidays.
For design direction, they requested I stay with their established blue color, and to add large photos that showcased their temple family. I created custom design mockups in Photoshop. I took existing information from their old website and organized it in a more logical and intuitive way, so users could easily and quickly find what they are looking for.
I created a custom WordPress theme, with custom page templates for each section to display a different menu for each one. I integrated existing third party event calendars, forms, and payment options into the design and theme. I added an email capture form in the footer that connect to their Constant Contact account and styled it to match the rest of the website. I also added a plugin to display the Hebrew date in the header.
